Tankii

Cajal Bodies built Tankii, a shared tank ledger and Telegram bot that two dive operators in Tanjung Bira, South Sulawesi use to draft and confirm orders in their group chat.

The Tankii sign-in screen

Two dive operators in Bira move cylinders between them, and the running count used to be an argument at the end of the month. Tankii records every order and delivery once, so both sides read the same number.

Orders are drafted and confirmed in the Telegram group the two operators already use. Nobody has to open a second app on a boat: the bot writes the draft, a person confirms it, and the ledger moves.

The tool lives behind their login, so there is nothing to show here. It has been in real use since September 2026, and a bot that cannot draft an order the group is unable to confirm is a fix that came out of that use.

What we made

  • A shared tank ledger for two operators
  • A Telegram bot that drafts and confirms orders in the group chat
  • An order and delivery record both sides can read
  • A test suite covering the ledger and the bot
