# The merchandise department

> Cajal Bodies runs a merchandise department for operators who do not want to run one themselves: design, sourcing, production, stock and fulfilment, on Kios, its own operations console. There is no public catalogue yet — GaiaOne is the first brand on it, and its licence is agreed in shape but not yet signed.

## What it is

Cajal Bodies runs a merchandise line for an operator who does not want to run one: design and artwork, supplier selection, production, QC, stock, orders and fulfilment.

## How it works

- Make-to-order by default, so a print run is triggered by an order rather than a hopeful forecast.
- Dual-sourced: an Indonesian printer serves Indonesian destinations and a Malaysian printer serves everywhere else, so finished goods never cross a border.
- A small capped buffer of proven sellers held at the counter in Bira, for a guest who is flying home in three days and cannot wait for a print run.

## Questions

**Can I buy GaiaOne merchandise?**

Not yet. There is no public catalogue open. Leaving an email on /shop is the way to hear when the first drop lands.

**Who makes the merchandise?**

Two dual-sourced printers: an Indonesian printer for Indonesian destinations and a Malaysian printer for everywhere else, so finished goods never cross a border.

**Can Cajal Bodies run a merchandise line for my business?**

Yes. Design and artwork, supplier selection, production, QC, stock, orders and fulfilment, run on Kios, the same console being built for GaiaOne.
